It is nice to see that Beyerdynamic included two different cables. Also in the box is two sets of velour earpads, both with different sound qualities one being a detailed set and the other with a balanced sound quality which adds a little more bass extension. I think Beyerdynamic should revise their default cables for the new 1770 and 1990 PRO line and put usability ahead of build quality. I wasn’t expecting much out of the headphone, so I fired up my tube amp and first reference track then before I knew it I was halfway through my music library. When asked for, the bass can create nice weight, too. Super resolved and analytical.
